I have been buying, selling and inspecting houses since 1998 and received my Home Inspection training from Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario through industry leader, Carson Dunlop and Associates.
I firmly believe that consumer education is one of the key duties of a good home inspector. The more that a homeowner knows about their home, it’s maintenance requirements and it’s condition, the more fulfilling homeownership will be. Having a knowledgeable home inspector who will take the time to make sure that you understand the important systems in your home their condition and how to maintain them will go a long way towards helping you choose a home that you won’t end up regretting.
I am a full member in good standing of the InterNational Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).- I am a full member in good standing of the National Foundation of Canadian Inspectors (NFCI).
- I attended Georgian College in Barrie for 3 years and completed their intensive Home Inspection training program operated by Carson Dunlop and Associates.
- I have completed InterNACHI’s Code of Ethics Obstacle Course.
- I have taken InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice Course.
- I have passed InterNACHI’s Online Inspector Examination.
- I have passed a number of InterNACHI’s Continuing Education courses, including:
- Safe Practices for the Home Inspector;
- Structural;
- Residential Plumbing Overview;
- Roofing Inspection;
- Electrical Inspection;
- Comprehensive Moisture Intrusion Inspection;
- Deck Inspection;
- I abide by InterNACHI’s Code of Ethics as well as those of other industry associations.
- I follow InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice as well as those of other industry associations.
- I fulfill much, much more than the minimum 24 hours of Continuing Education every year.
- I understand the time constraints imposed by conditional offers and am available evenings and weekends.
- I generate easy-to-read, informative and illustrated inspection reports.
